Our plans entail the construction of a sensitively designed part one, part two storey purpose built care home for the elderly, providing 67 en-suite individual care bedrooms. The proposals will be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), delivering the highest standards of care, providing 24-hour support for the elderly and meeting a full range of residential, nursing and dementia care needs, including end of life and palliative services.

Our plans also entail the provision of considerable internal and external amenities on the site, and on each floor of the development, including:

  • Dining rooms
  • Lounges, including quiet areas
  • A cafĂ©
  • Activity spaces
  • Cinema
  • Hair salon
  • Secure, private gardens with sensory planting
  • A conservatory
  • A library
  • A gym
  • On-site kitchen and laundry

The proposals will also include dedicated staff facilities, including a lounge, nurses’ station, administration areas, an overnight room and changing rooms.

The scheme has been sensitively designed to its surrounding context. It is well screened on three sides by existing foliage which is proposed to be retained as much as is possible, including from nearby residential properties. The design is respectful of the Roswell Pits Site of Scientific Interest in term of layout, with the buildings sited at the furthest point on the site from the lakes, minimising impact.

Further, a high quality green landscaping approach will be delivered on the site, ensuring the development upholds the green character of the area. When complete, the new care home will provide exemplary facilities in a scenic, sustainable location, with considerable amenities nearby, providing residents with a high quality of care, and a high quality of life.
